Osprey Tales

Both parents now bring fish back to nest. Miss Baby learns to rip it apart and feed herself, but sometimes insist on being fed by mother.

After first flight, Miss Baby remains near the nest, making frequent excursions around and about, seeing all sorts of interesting things for the first time.

Juvenile osprey resembles adults, but have white tipped feathers on their back, giving them a speckled appearance. Juvenile osprey eyes are orange; as they mature they change to yellow.
