After first flight, Miss Baby remains near the nest, making frequent excursions around and about, seeing all sorts of interesting things for the first time.

Juvenile osprey resembles adults, but have white tipped feathers on their back, giving them a speckled appearance. Juvenile osprey eyes are orange; as they mature they change to yellow.
Age at first flight generally 50–55 days (7-8 weeks).

The osprey is good at fishing and the bald eagle not so good.
Bald eagles often chase Osprey, until they drop their catch.
When the osprey drops its fish, the eagle will immediately stop chasing and grab the food mid-air.
