Wet and Rainy

I love the rain.  I love how it softens the outlines of things. The world becomes softly blurred, and I feel like I melt right into. Rain is grace; rain is the sky descending to the earth; without rain, there would be no life.

John Updike

Be still, sad heart, and cease repining;
Behind the clouds is the sun still shining;
Thy fate is the common fate of all,
Into each life some rain must fall,
Some days must be dark and dreary.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow [1807-1882]
